I want to produce and sell to consumers a table lamp for 220 V AC. What kind of European certification do I need and what does it imply for my design? |
| |
Lighting equipment falling under the Low Voltage Directive must carry the CE marking, by which the manufacturer testifies that his product conforms to the essential requirements of the LVD. A (voluntary) ENEC certification for the product obtained from one of the European Certification Bodies demonstrates compliance of the product with the relevant European Standard and gives a presumption of conformity with the LVD requirements. |
